We are starting a course in Community Development and Social Studies for beginners on tuesday 7th October from 10am – 12noon. This course will run for six weeks. This course will include
1. Understanding community developement
2. Group work
3. Leadership skills
5. Team Work

Thank you to everyone that helped or baked cakes and buns at our recent Cake Sale to Board of Management members, staff, O’Hehirs Bakery, The Bakehouse, and the Gormet Parlour. It was very much appreciated. It was a very successful sale and the proceeds will go to help fund our Centre in making it wheelchair accessable. THANKS AGAIN.
10 mile charity run/walk/roll – Strandhill to Rosses Point scenic route.

This fundraiser is run by Sligo Carers Association, with some of the Sligo Family Resource Centre staff taking part and raising funds through sponsorship cards. All proceeds from our sponsorship cards will go towards making our centre wheelchair- accessible. Please support! You can drop into Family Resource Centre and sponsor one of our staff for this very worthy cause.

The Parent & Toddler is starting back here in the Centre on Tuesday 9th September at 10.30am, and in Caltragh Community Centre on 12th September at 10.30am also. We are looking forward to seeing all the old faces and welcome newcomers!
We are holding a Cake Sale on Sunday 14th September in Gillooly Hall at 9am-1.30pm. All the proceeds will go to fund making our Centre wheelchair accessible. Please support us in anyway you can, either by making cakes or coming along to purchase some of our delicious cakes and buns. If you wish to donate some of your own home baking Gillooly hall is open from 5pm-7pm on saturday evening on 13th September.
